New Mexican born, graffiti artist and sculptor, Andrew Velie currently lives in Albuquerque, NM. He originally attended art school at the Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona. Andrew continues to revisit his creative growth by attending interdisciplinary art classes at the University of New Mexico as well as other workshops.
Professionally, Andrew is one of the lead vultures for the "Transformation Re-incarnation Project" (T.R.I.P.). He is actively involved in the process of restoring an ancient sculpture known as the Bodhisattva of Compassion along with its alter space from the Buddhist Fa Yun monastery in Angel Fire, New Mexico. To learn more about T.R.I.P. Bodhisattva, please visit www.tripbodhisattva.com.
In Andrew's personal affairs, his dedication to spirituality coincides with his artistic practice as he incorporates nature's gifts, such as non-raptorial feathers and bones, to create mixed media pieces. To learn more about Andrew Velie and his artwork, please visit www.andrewvelie.com.
